Dolton & Dex’s new oral health system for Gumsaver is unveiled at London’s Design Museum
The Gumsaver® system, which was invented by Leamington-Spa based dentist Dr Hani Mostafa and designed by award winning BDI member , makes the task of looking after gums and teeth simple for dentists, therapists, hygienists and patients.
The product's ergonomic design profile enables users to employ a unique brushing action by utilising two sets of moulded microfilaments, angled for optimum brushing efficiency, gentleness and comfort. In addition, the Gumsaver's elegant handle profile maximises accuracy, control, dexterity and grip for the user whilst guiding the bristles into place.
Dolton & Dex had full creative control of product development, packaging design, corporate identity and brand presence, as well as overseeing prototyping, manufacture and testing of the brush. They employed 3D modelling, brush aesthetics, CAD simulation, colour and materials selection, engineering, POS packaging and graphic design to bring the project to fruition in the quickest and most cost-effective manner.
