The Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) has announced Phil Jones as the Head of Supply Chain Development in a ploy to increase the efficiency and growth of the manufacturing industry within the UK.
Jones’ role in the new job will consist of exploring supply chain opportunities for both SMEs and large enterprises, as well as helping established manufacturers develop a more comprehensive system themselves.
He said: “The opportunity to join MAS and work closely with UK manufacturers is an exciting challenge. We have a breadth of resources and capabilities to support companies and I want to help ensure that these are utilised throughout the supply chain and in line with industry’s needs.
MAS is funded by the Department for Business and has provided support and solutions to manufacturing businesses in England since 2002. As the global manufacturing industry becomes more and more competitive, MAS is playing a vital role in sharing the knowledge and experience from within the organisation.
